My cousin Jay and I are herbalist-hobbyists with a penchant for chocolate making. We don’t believe that there is any one “superfood” that can cure every disease and deficiency. Instead, our curiosity for potent foods is steeped in the deep traditions of Eastern and Western Herbalism. We see a lot of misinformation in a lot of the click-bait articles now common on the internet. From Dr. Mercola to Dr. Oz, herbal suggestions are fraught with error. Jay and I (Oliver) do a lot of our own research on potent medicinal plants, who originally used them and for what. We also work with Dr. Dylan Rees, a postdoctoral engineering researcher at Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute who works with biomaterials to learn how they grow, change, and function.
