About Us

  • We are a small two-cousin bean to bar chocolate business focused on ethnobotany, cultural preservation and ethical consumption.

  • We have been crafting hand-made award-winning chocolate and confection using exclusively vegan and paleo ingredients sourced ethically and directly from organic/regenerative farms and our wild foraging friends. We are passionate about social justice and regenerative agriculture and regularly give a percentage of our profits to help support bipoc-led food security and farming projects. We have a strong socially driven mission and vision and are seeking a fellow self starter to help us push this vision forward.

  • High quality chocolate making and chocolatiering is the backbone of our company. Since the expansion into our first storefront, we are quickly growing and are looking for help in making this a smooth and organized transition and to continue giving vegan chocolate a good name! In 2020 we really started getting into confection as an addition to our wholesale/retail chocolate bar program and are in need of a trained chocolatier or at least someone who is quick to learn.

  • Producing consistent, delicious vegan/paleo confections and drinkables.

  • Assisting head chocolatier with organizing a weekly calendar for wholesale and retail production.

  • Coordinating our bar production program including labeling, bar molding and packaging.

  • Keeping track of inventory of ingredients and finished product: using google sheets to alert buyer when it is time to re order.

  • Cleaning + polishing molds and other production related tools.

  • Maintaining a neat, clean kitchen and workspace. Helping to develop and improve organization and production systems.

Minimum qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working in professional kitchens.

  • Confection skills including caramel and basic chocolate tempering/troubleshooting.

  • Tidy working habits, proficient with time management and an ability to multitask.

  • Dexterity/ability to produce and package high volumes of small items and to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to compassionately give and take constructive feedback.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a desire to improve as a chocolatier and to creatively contribute to our ongoing recipes and mission.

  • Has a passion for social/environmental justice issues including and not limited to bipoc, women, trans and animal rights.

  • Is interested in herbalism, the concept of food as medicine and care about ethical consumption.

  • Is in general a rebel with a cause.

  • $13-17 per hour based on experience.

  • Lots of chocolatey treats while working in the kitchen.

  • 20% off chocolate at our store and online.

  • 25 hours a week

What it's like to work with us?

We are a small, yet compact crew looking to grow. While we maintain a driven and focused workplace with attention to details, we figure out ways to make it fun and enjoyable while providing space for people to be themselves so that we can all grow together. We look forward to hearing about what you might have to provide!
